Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Botify ("we", "our", "us"), operated by Manjeet Choudhary, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Botify AI Chatbot Widget.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Botify, we may collect the following: • Chat messages: The text you send to the chatbot during a session, to generate AI responses. • Session data: A temporary session ID to maintain conversation context. This is not tied to any personal identity. • Usage metadata: Timestamp, widget version, and theme selected — used purely for debugging and analytics. • Contact information: If you email or call us to purchase a plan, we store your name, email, and phone number to manage your account. We do NOT collect passwords, payment card details, or sensitive personal identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to: • Provide and improve the Botify chatbot widget service. • Respond to your queries and support requests. • Send plan details and invoices when you purchase a subscription. • Monitor for abuse or misuse of the service. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers.

3. Data Retention

• Chat session data is stored temporarily (session-level) and cleared when the session ends or the widget is reset. • Contact information provided for plan purchases is retained for as long as your subscription is active plus 1 year for billing records. • You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing manjeetchoudhary0099@gmail.com.

4. Cookies & Tracking

Botify does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. The widget may store a lightweight session token in localStorage to maintain conversation continuity — this is cleared when the browser is closed or the user resets the chat.

5. Third-Party Services

Botify uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate AI responses. Your chat messages are sent to Anthropic's servers to produce replies. Anthropic has its own privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not share your email or personal details with Anthropic.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. All API communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Botify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights (DPDP Act, India)

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Correct inaccurate data. • Request erasure of your personal data. • Withdraw consent at any time. 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Botify after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
